Garth and I had our "date" to Abeh. Ha HA!!!! Not really a date, I am kind of joking about that. We did not have any kids with us, but running to the grocery store and then the meat market is a pretty strange date. We had fun though. Garth made it pretty interesting at one point. He went through a very strange intersection and weren't sure how to turn, with the light or the traffic. So he went with the traffic. Not too long after we hear a siren and see a police officer on a motorcycle telling us to pull over. Well, you can imagine how well that went since we don't know Indonesian and he doesn't know English. We said "Saya masi belagar Bahasa Indonesia." " We are still learning the Indonesian language. " So through hand signals and broken words we figured out that you have to wait for the light. Later talking to friends here we found out that it was in our favor that we couldn't speak Indonesian because they almost always take you to court and make you pay. We were let go with no ticket or anything. Thank you Lord. What a trip. Thankfully the dorm van is more like a bus and we could easily fit all the stuff we needed to buy.
Tonight's email has to be short. It is so late since I have been up late working on a birthday cake for one of our dorm girls whose birthday is tomorrow. It is almost tomorrow. So I need to go.
