How awesome to have a day to celebrate some of the most magnificent creations on Earth! I am thrilled that I have such a terrific mom! Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there-I sure hope it is special!! I had a fun time hanging out with the kids and Garth playing games and laughing. We had a big Celebration Feast with the Hostel with lots of yummy food!
Since our time here is limited we are trying to make the most of all of our minutes. This is what our last few days have been filled with:
Garth was able to take Wyatt out of school to go to a Persipura Soccer game. One of Wyatt’s passions right now is soccer especially International soccer. He was able to see our Jayapura team play and win against South China in the Asia Cup. He loved it! Friday I was able to play basketball with the A team girls. That was fantastic!! Saturday morning we went to the beach for probably the last time. That was great but sad. I am really going to miss that. We had the beach all to ourselves for about 15 minutes and then buses of Indonesians came and took over. Haha. It was still a beautiful way to spend the day. We got home at 3:30 and then Sophie had a bunch of her girlfriends come over at 4 for a final hurrah. It was a fun sleepover for them with pizza and ice cream sundaes along with new journals to write all their memories in. Some of the dorm boys were hiding in the car when Garth came to pick us up from the pizza place. The girls were innocently singing in the car, in the dark, when the boys jumped out and yelled. Oh, you should have seen us all jump! It was hilarious! That is what Sophie gets from living in a house full of teenage boys! She loves it!
Today was church, two meetings, the Feast, the pool, games with the fam, and soccer. You are all about to start your Mother’s Day so for the last picture I am sending you wishes from some of the dorm kids for a happy day! Enjoy it!
