What a crazy week back! We had an earthquake, the Internet has been out, our kittens all “mysteriously” went missing at the same time…Ibu Poppy is not coming in until next week, Cale has been waking up on Wisconsin time, Fireworks, music, heat, our phone is not working, one of the burners on my new stove is not working…
O.k. enough complaints-there has been good stuff too. I get to hug and snuggle all of my kids again, and play Garth in racquetball, we have had movie nights and game nights and been baking together in the kitchen, gone to the pool twice, read lots of books etc.
It takes awhile to get back in the swing of life here in Sentani. It is so very different from life in the States. I have to remind myself to remember to expect nothing. Don’t expect things to be done on time, don’t expect the people helping you to be quick, don’t expect to find what you are looking for at the store, and on and on.
This is a New Year-How do you feel about that? You have a brand new start-a clean slate. Do you make resolutions? We have the resolutions that we made as a family up all around the house: Relax more, spend time with God, Ignore the small stuff (Don’t let little things bug you), Laugh more, and be patient.
