Fleas

We have this week off of school.  Most of the teachers are at a conference in Korea.  The dorm is closed and the kids are with their parents or guardians.  It has been a much needed break for all of us.  I am loving the extra time with the kids.  We have been doing puzzles, baking, playing games (when was the last time you played Clue?), taking trips…Monday we went to Abe to Pizza Hut.  That is always a treat.  Yesterday we went to the beach.  We have the funniest luck sometimes.  There were a bunch of wild dogs and puppies at the beach yesterday, crawling on us when we sat in the sand, laying on our stuff etc.  We noticed right away that they all had a horrific case of fleas.  We all came home with flea bites all over us.  Hopefully this will be something we can take care of and not something that lasts.  We all woke up with fresh bites on our legs so it seems that some of them came home with us.

This is what the road looks like going to the beach.

We finally did have rain the other day.  What a blessed sound that was.  We have only had two or three good rains since August.  This is supposed to be the rainy season.  Houses are out of water, wells are running dry.  So you can understand the rejoicing at the sound of raindrops coming down.  We soon found out exactly where all the leaks were in our roof. We had our own small waterfall in our kitchen.  Haha. Can’t complain though seeing as how we have been praying for rain for months.

Love you all
