Have you ever eaten at Bubba Gump’s? We ate there the other night for the first time. It was so yummy! I had a salad with real lettuce and cheese. My taste buds were so excited. It was the most American restaurant we have found yet. During the meal though a man came around and purposefully dumped water all over the floor-not sure what that was about.
Today we took the kids to the beach. There was a fantastic wind blowing through so the heat was so much more bearable. We built a sand house with a bed for each of us and Sophie built a kitchen. Wyatt and Emma built a dam around so the waves couldn’t knock the house down. Cale was on sanitation control and was in charge of cleaning out all of the seaweed. That poor kid. He fell this morning on the stones on the way to breakfast and smacked his face. Now he has a fat lip and a bruised nose and a cut on top of his lip.
Our hotel room is in an unfortunate spot. The lot next door is in construction and the crew is working late into the night. The spot lights tend to shine right into our rooms along with the bang bang bang and occasional shout from the mega phone. But other than that we are really enjoying ourselves. There is lots of fresh fruit every morning for breakfast and little donuts-which Sophie seems to inhale.
Tonight we are having dinner with a wonderful Indonesian lady and her little daughter. That should be fun.
Hope you are well.
Love you bunches
Rachel
