An update-

We are back from the hospital.  We found out that we all have something called Mycoplasma (see below), and Cale has h.plyori.  We were all given a 2 week cycle of antibiotics.  Let’s pray that this works.

The kids are so happy to have all the medical stuff done-yahoo!  We found a store today that was selling the most magnificent  strawberries and decided to splurge on this tasty treat.  They were HUGE and so delicious!  We may even take the kids bowling tonight if we feel up to it.  We are all a bit wiped, but this is our last day here.

Thanks for all your prayers.  It will be a very long day tomorrow.  We leave Singapore at 5 pm Friday and will arrive in Sentani at 7 am on Saturday.

Talk to you soon!

Mycoplasma is a parasite that grows in the tissue fluids of the blood, joints, heart, spinal fluid and chest.  the immune system begins attacking itself and/or seemingly healthy cells.  It can travel inside your body and even attach itself to the white blood cells.  Once inside a white blood cell, mycoplasmas can travel throughout the body and even cross the blood/brain barrier, and into the central nervous system and spinal fluid.  It is amazing that one single tiny bacteria can be the cause of so many seemingly unrelated diseases in humans. But as with all mycoplasma species, the disease is directly related to where the mycoplasma resides in the body and which cells in the body it attaches to or invades.
